Welcome to Stainforth signStainforth Town Council falls within DMBC's area and is situated north east of Doncaster. Town Council status was granted to the Parish Council in 1988 and covers both Stainforth and South Bramwith, with a total population of approximately 7000, 4554 of whom are electors.

It consists of 15 members who meet on the third Tuesday of every month excluding August and December. Meetings take place in the Council Chamber at 6:30pm with public participation commencing at 6:15pm. Residents wishing to utilise the latter can do so by notifying the Clerk no less than 7 days before any scheduled meeting, in writing,
of any matter they wish to raise.

The Annual Town Meeting is held in April and the Annual Town Council Meeting is held in May when a new Mayor is elected. In addition to normal meetings the committees also meet separately and these are advertised as they arise.
